I’m the kind of girl who is quiet in large groups or around people I don’t know; you only see the real me if we’re close. I smile and laugh a lot, especially at the most inappropriate times. I’m a hopeless romantic who’s too afraid to fall herself. I trip over air, up stairs, and over people’s feet. I am the hardest person to offend, but it is all too easy to make me feel horrible. I hate telling people about my problems; they don’t need to worry about me. I’m the one who listens to other people’s problems. I believe people should not be judged before one takes the time to get to know them, yet I am guilty of doing that exact thing. I love to think rather than talk. I prefer rainy, cloudy days to sunny ones. I’m awkward, clumsy, shy, strange… but this is me. Take it or leave it.

I always wonder, am I beautiful in anyone’s eyes? Am I their “perfect” girl? Do their hearts beat faster whenever I’m around them? Am I their inspiration? The girl they’ll look up to? Do they ever wish I was their girlfriend? Or maybe even their friend? The one they wish they had a second chance with? Or maybe even just one chance? The girl they think before they sleep? Or maybe I’m just another girl in their eyes. Nothing special at all. 

There will be always people who don’t like you; the way you look, the way you talk, the things you say, the way you dress, the things you believe in, the music you listen to but truth is: it’s up to you if you let them ruin your day or if you learn to stand up for yourself and accept yourself just the way you are. try to be as good as you can and if that’s not enough for them, it will certainly be for someone else. 
you’re not here to please anyone. just be nice and true to yourself.
